A fully loaded tractor trailer truck can weigh up to 80,000 pounds while a passenger vehicle frequently weighs 3,000 to 4,000 pounds. Needless to say, altercations on the road between the two can be quite one-sided, with passenger vehicles receiving massive damage and tractor trailers, as often as not, coming out relatively unscathed. It’s a sad fact that while tractor trailers only make up 3% of all vehicles on the road, they are involved in 21% of all fatal wrecks. So you’ve been in an accident with a tractor trailer truck. You’ve made it through to the other side of the experience, though you could be facing extensive injury, damage to your vehicle, or both. What next?

Carrying out a Birth Records Search is becoming quite common these days. At a basic level, this piece of document carries relevant bits of information about the person whose name is on the certificate. Usually, it brings to light the person’s complete name, when and where he was born, the attending physician’s name, full names of parents, as well as their ages, occupations, address and more.

It can certainly be very helpful if you know how to conduct some criminal record checks. Actually, this is a necessity especially if you are hiring new employees or dealing with new business associates. This can also be done even if you just want to learn more about the background of a nanny, neighbor, or the date of your daughter. And since this is very easy, anyone can always try it out.

This morning a news story intrigued me. It involved an Arizona teenager who sent letters to hundreds of public school districts around the state informing them of resources they can use to change their anti-bullying policies in order to combat homophobic behavior and bullying. Not only was I impressed that a 15-year-old went through all of this trouble, but he also stated in each letter he sent that if appropriate actions were not taken to protect gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students, legal action would be taken to force necessary changes to each school’s anti-bullying policies. Regardless of how you view the politics of this situation, it is important to the look at the precedent that might be set if this young man does indeed pursue legal action and win.
