Marrying once you hit 20 will reduce the chances of divorce for young couples. Waiting right until you turn twenty-five or even slightly older lessens the the chances even more. Have a nice lengthy engagement, taking time in order to get to know one another can help you determine whether your partner is a great match. It is far better for you to break up with your boyfriend or girlfriend as opposed to divorce a wife or husband. Don’t get involved with someone who currently is married or in a relationship. Use caution when getting involved with someone who has a kid or small children by somebody else. Marriages with step-children are more likely to result in a breakup compared to first marriages without unrelated minor kids. All these obstacles can also add to the likelihood of divorce.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, at least half of most marriages are going to wind up in divorce. In 2009 they reported statistical details that pointed out that a minimum of three or four married couples divorce for each seven that are married. Because of this married people only have about a 50% possibility of staying with each other once they are married. The actual divorce rate rises even higher for individuals who marry a second or third time.
