In 2011, the IRS announced that it would ease rules on tax liens, in order to relieve some burden for taxpayers. While this may make the IRS sound kinder, and gentler, taxpayers should not ignore the fact that the tax agency has a duty to enforce. When taxpayers find themselves in trouble, they may improve their chances of settling their debt by contacting an IRS tax attorney.

Tax laws change on a yearly basis and can get very confusing, many people get into trouble with the IRS over a simple mistake that they chose to ignore or tried to fix on their own.
