In 2011, the IRS announced that it would ease rules on tax liens, in order to relieve some burden for taxpayers. While this may make the IRS sound kinder, and gentler, taxpayers should not ignore the fact that the tax agency has a duty to enforce. When taxpayers find themselves in trouble, they may improve their chances of settling their debt by contacting an IRS tax attorney.
